Makeup hauls excite me altogether. I love playing with makeup from searching to trying to seeing if the product is truly what it’s cracked up to be.
I purchased these products back in April while in quarantine on a food run at Target. I figured, well, I’m here anyway. It was heavenly to put it lightly. Ha! No kids were fighting, no hearing the word Mommy 1,265 times, no interruptions. It was a lovely, peaceful, quiet moment, and I needed to stock up on some makeup essentials. It was a total win-win.
Not all of the products I purchased was I impressed with, but these made the cut!
Product Details
NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30– Now this is the only product NOT purchased from Target, and don’t think I can live without it. I always start by prepping my face with a tinted sunscreen, and this one is so velvety. It feels incredibly lightweight.
NYX Professional Makeup Shine Killer– I always use a primer over my moisturizer and under the start of any foundation. I find it sets my makeup making it longer lasting. Living in Florida, it is a constant battle against humidity and the oiliness that comes along with it. Shine Killer is an oil-absorbing primer with a matte finish. I LOVE this primer!
Mineral Fusion Pressed Powder Foundation– Lately, I’ve been wearing more of a natural look. And when I do, I don’t put a liquid foundation on. I have forever used Bare Minerals Loose Powder Foundation, and I find this one to be a close match. Mineral Fusion is pressed based but wears the same. I used the Sonia Kashuk™ Professional Stippling Foundation Makeup Brush No. 124 to apply. Extremely impressed with the quality of this brand’s brushes. Dense and soft.
NYX Professional Makeup 3 Steps to Sculpt– in Fair. Ok, now this product I am genuinely a fan of. Being that I’m going for a more natural look, that means low maintenance in my mind. I used this for both my eye shadow and face contouring. I naturally lean towards wearing more neutral tones when it comes to my eye shadow, so this was a total win-win. I applied my overall lighter eye shadow with Sonia Kashuk™ Professional Large Eyeshadow Brush No. 207 Black, and detailed with Sonia Kashuk™ Professional Medium Eyeshadow Brush No. 204. Again, super impressed with the quality of these brushes. I applied my contour with e.l.f. Total Face Sponge, and blended with Sonia Kashuk™ Retractable Kabuki Powder Makeup Brush.
NYX Professional Makeup Sweet Cheeks Creamy Powder Blush Matte– In Day Dream. In the Spring and Summer seasons, I generally wear more pinky tones for a blush. This color caught my eye! Super pigmented, blendable, and comes in a matte finish. I applied with Sonia Kashuk™ Professional Fan Highlighting Makeup Brush No. 117.
NYX Professional Makeup Fill & Fluff Eyebrow Pomade Pencil– in Brunette. This product is an awesome eyebrow pencil. I have always used Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer and wanted to find something similar. NYX did not disappoint! I found this pencil just as easy to apply with the slanted tip, and I actually prefer the paddle brush over the course brush for blending.
L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara– In Black. While I wear eyelash extension, I still apply mascara to my lower lashes. Love the head of this brush and how easily it separates the lashes. Now, while in quarantine, I used these lashes to get me by, Eylure False Eyelashes Luxe Cashmere No. 6. I have always purchased strip lashes from either Sephora or MAC and found these did not let me down. Super soft and flexible. The adhesive is long-lasting and the lashes can be reapplied up to 15 times.
e.l.f. Lip Plumping Gloss– in Champayne Glam. Ok, now this is a new fave of mine. I am always looking for the next best lip plumper and never thought I would find it at Target. Leaves the lips feeling hydrated while giving that high shine voluminous look. I LOVE this color!
