Ok, so who can agree there is going to be a great deal of corona babies born in about nine months? Ha! What else are we suppose to do while quarantined?
My sweet little Gio, third and last baby, was a surprise baby. More like a blessing, but complete surprise! Now, I must say, when I found out I was so upset I didn’t talk to my husband for days. That’s the God’s honest truth! You see, just a short while before I found out, I repeatedly reminded my husband to get the vasectomy we often discussed him getting. Every time, he reassured me, we would be fine. Famous last words! Ha!
Here we were with our two little boys; finally in a routine, not outnumbered, and damn it, I finally got my body back! We were smooth sailing! The thought of another baby thrown into the mix terrified me. Not the pregnancy, delivery, or anything else that comes along with that, but just another human being. Where and how was this unplanned baby going to fit into this already very chaotic life we have? Like many, both my husband and I have full careers, and when we are not working, we are running full throttle with life. It was the unknown that would keep me awake at night. And well, the constant need to pee with a baby pushing against my bladder. Ha!
When I held my precious baby for the first time and looked at his perfect face, his ten tiny fingers and toes, felt him breathing on my chest, saw his take his first yawn, everything I once feared was gone. Gio, was no longer a surprise baby, but a blessing baby. God had a plan. Gio was to be our son, and we were to be his parents. Each one of my precious boys, all so entirely different, is truly the greatest joy in life.
So, Let’s see what the world looks like in nine months! Ha!
